Austrian ChamberPhilharmonic
The Austrian ChamberPhilharmonic is a professional Austrian orchestra that has established itself as one of the most successful chamber orchestras in Austria. Founded in 2001 by Achim Holub as an ad hoc ensemble for a series of performances of Handel's Water Music, the orchestra has since played in almost all regions of Styria, Carinthia, and Burgenland, as well as at the Styrian Chamber Music Festival.
The orchestra has interpreted many of the most important works of the repertoire, especially symphonies by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven, with the highest quality and has received great praise from the press. Many current and former members of this exceptional ensemble now hold key positions in some of Europe's best orchestras, such as the Vienna Philharmonic and Symphony, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the RSO Vienna.
In addition to their annual summer tour, the orchestra has presented their repertoire at an event day with concerts, introductory lectures for young people, and personal contact with the artists in Graz. The orchestra has also collaborated with some of the best young conductors from around the world through masterclasses with competitions.
The orchestra restarts now after having had a break due to the pandemic under Markus Bauer with fresh energy and new ideas.
With him, the Austrian ChamberPhilharmonic continues to showcase their exceptional talent and passion for music, welcoming audiences to their concerts.
